-Student Testimony-

Nelson Mandela once said, 'Education is the most powerful weapon that you can use to change the world.' This is also the biggest feeling that this trip to Macau has brought to me. In these short seven days, we have experienced many experiences, including lectures that broaden our horizons, demonstrations of teamwork, laughter, and frustration. Like a cup of Espresso, there is no lack of acidity in its mellow flavor, but it is worthy of careful aftertaste.

What left a deep impression on me was the courses offered by different professors every day. After more than two years at school, I spent most of my time focusing on knowledge from books, but rarely thought about how to apply this knowledge, the current situation of this industry, and its development. After listening to the lecture, although I couldn't write down the specific content one by one, it shaped a larger worldview for me and made me more determined about the path I wanted to take in the future.

A very important part of this lesson is the final presentation. Fortunately, there is a group of team members who share the same ideas and are efficient in their work. They have a clear division of labor, work together, and spent two nights working on the PPT. It's really not easy! Although I won the second place in the end, I am still very satisfied because we have tried our best to polish it into its best appearance.

From listening to the professor's sharing at the beginning to sharing on our own, the entire process has made me feel very fulfilling, full of a sense of gain and achievement. I am willing to participate in such an event next time!

At the beginning of 2021, I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in the Macau Visiting Student Program, which became a valuable experience in my life. On the return flight, the glow outside the window poured in, indescribably beautiful, as if implying that 2021 must be a good year, and this study trip also marked the perfect starting point for the New Year. Looking back carefully, this trip is of great significance.

The first impression of Macau is of elegant Portuguese style streets, characteristic buildings that blend Chinese and Western cultures, brightly colored churches, old and unique residential buildings and alleys, and graffiti with vastly different styles. The next 7-day course study at the University of Macau is another kind of cognition of Macao. It teaches carefully prepared courses, cutting-edge and innovative ideas, and interactive learning. The all English class is a great challenge for me. During the third topic class break, Dr. Liu suddenly sat next to the empty seat, to understand the classroom effect and student feedback. I was stunned, nervous, and my oral English was not very fluent, I hesitated to answer, with embarrassment all over my face, but the professor was very patient, listened attentively to me, and then gave encouragement. In addition, it was about meeting a group of interesting people, each with distinct personalities and unique insights. We went to class together, played together, ate local cuisine, checked in on various attractions, gathered to discuss topics, utilized their strengths, and engaged in a collision of ideas and souls in different modes of thinking.

Reading thousands of books and traveling thousands of miles, I not only gained knowledge and scenery, but also received meticulous care from accompanying teachers and mutual help from classmates. In my future studies, I will also work harder to improve my English proficiency and continuously improve my professional abilities.
